"Assuption of the Mother of God" wooden church

Lake Batca Doamnei is located at an altitude of 325 meters and is an important element of Piatra Neamt because, besides its protection purpose, it also offers wonderful views. From here, you can admire the panorama of the city and Ceahlau Mountain in all its splendor. Formed in 1962 by the Bistrita river barrier and lateral indigestion, on the left side, of a perimeter of the major riverbed, the Batca Doamnei Lake has an area of ​​235 ha, a maximum length of 3200 m, a maximum width of 1050 m and a maximum depth of 15.5 m. It is supplied with water from Izvoru Muntelui-Bicaz reservoir dam via the Stejaru Hydroelectric Water Supply Channel, to which is added the Doamna river, the right tributary of the lake and the old course of the Bistrita river which has a very low flow. Near the lake is Batca Doamnei hill, where are the ruins of Dacian Fortress from Batca Doamnei. Lake Batca Doamnei, alongside the Pangarati and Vaduri lakes, is a special area for birds moving on the Eastern Carpathian Migration Corridor and is an important link in preserving biodiversity and natural habitats for the entire eastern area of ​​the European continent. The lake, thanks to the large surface, offers winter conditions for a large number of birds. In November, on Batca Doamnei Lake, there are specimens of large cormorant that pop out here during migration.

The Ceahlăul Stadium (14,000 seats), a maximum approval level for its capability (national teams and Champions League), gathers in the same complex the main playing field (with de-icing system under the turf), 2 covered stands and a nocturnal, 2 other training grounds (1 natural and 1 synthetic), recovery and physical training base, accommodation and food services for athletes, Ceahlăul Club headquarters, etc.

Virgil Bărbuceanu" has that "something" which, for the practitioners and supporters of equestrian sports, means much more than a day spent there, it means peace, relaxation and the appreciation of the special bond between people and animals. Equestrian base "Col. Virgil Bărbuceanu" from Piatra Neamț, established in 1986, is one of the most equipped equestrian bases in the country, being chosen as the host of several stages of the World Show Jumping Cup, as well as of several national competitions. Within this equestrian base, you can practice recreational riding on well-established routes by the base staff, horseback tourism for those who have equestrian knowledge and skills, day trips on the Bâtca Doamnei - Bahrin route, leisure with the carriage both for walking and for special events, horse-drawn sleigh rides (in winter). Also within the base, horses are trained for participation in competitions and riding lessons can also be taken.

The "G.T. Kirileanu" Neamţ County Library is a continuation of some old traditions (over 130 years) of public reading in Neamţ County.

Roman-Catholic Cathedral "Saint Iosif Muncitorul" was built in 1895 and between 1936-1939 has been subjected to several renovations. The church had changed the look starting with year 2012. Historical files certify the existence of Catholics on Moldova region from 13th century. Next centuries, lots of Catholics had migrated from Transilvania to Moldova and so in 1884 was founded The Roman-Catholic Bishopric from Iași.

The "Baal Shem Tov" wooden synagogue from Piatra Neamţ is a testimony of numerous Jewish communities that have existed since the Middle Ages.  The current building was built on the oldest place, based on the letter of July 19, 1766, signed by the voivode Grigore III Ghica.  The old synagogue was by stone, but since the early 18th century it was only allowed to raise wooden synagogues.  In the eastern wall of the synagogue is a "One Holy," a true work of art made of wood carved in 1835 by Sharaga Iţchok ben Moische, disposed in three floors, each of them standing on rounded columns covered with bronze and silver.  The altar, blown with gold, is 250 years old. The synagogue is linked to the name of Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism.
