Among the local beekeepers known for the quality of the products, are Mirela and Costel Bălan from Agapia village, a young family of producers who founded Bălan Costel's Apiary. Costel Bălan fell in love with beekeeping since his childhood spent with his grandparents in the Neamţ area. He completed what he learned from his grandparents with individual study, and now, in turn, he passes on the secrets of this job to his son, already attracted to his parents' work. Thus the whole family takes care of the 70 hives and the preparation of bee products. They sell different types of honey (acacia, linden, dandelion, rapeseed, polyflora, raspberry) but also honeycombs and other beekeeping products anywhere in the country. The greatest demand is registered for dandelion and raspberry honey. All products are 100% natural and have all the certifications necessary for commercialization.
