Roman-Catholic Cathedral "Saint Iosif Muncitorul" was built in 1895 and between 1936-1939 has been subjected to several renovations.

The church had changed the look starting with year 2012.

Historical files certify the existence of Catholics on Moldova region from 13th century.

Next centuries, lots of Catholics had migrated from Transilvania to Moldova and so in 1884 was founded The Roman-Catholic Bishopric from Iași.
